Baggage Policy

We want you to travel happily and that is why we do everything possible so that you can take what you need to have a comfortable trip, as long as your luggage is checked in, paid for and also meets the following conditions:

We do not accept the following luggage::

• Baggage with a declared value greater than $5,000.00 (USD)
• Improperly packed luggage: (Luggage that comes armed only with foil / vinyl / tape, but whose content is not inside suitcases or boxes, and that at the time of being inspected by the authorities, cannot be easily put back).
• Baggage with size and characteristics that are not approved by Wingo. 20Kg and 158 linear cm (including tires and handles), will not be accepted or transported.
• Baggage that could damage other baggage in the hold, including corrosive liquids and sharp objects without adequate cover
• Dangerous goods.
• Baggage that cannot be completely closed and transported without compromising the content during an inspection by the authorities: packages, suitcases with zippers or damaged closures, sacks, bags, and other types of packaging that cannot be properly closed and that affect the operation.

A personal Item (Backpack or Purse):

• When you buy a ticket in Wingo, you have the right to take a 40x35x25cm (height x length x width) backpack for free for national and international flights.
• The personal item must be placed under the chair in front of you.
• If you are traveling with a child under 2 years of age, you will be entitled to take one additional free item that meets the established conditions: linear 40x35x25cm (height x length x width).
• If your backpack or purse exceeds the dimensions reported, in order to carry it you must pay the corresponding value at the airport, as applicable to your luggage and its dimensions. Keep in mind that the measurements of your backpack or purse will be verified at the airport, before boarding.
• If, due to its dimensions, the luggage must be checked to be taken into the hold, we will charge the corresponding value as long as there is sufficient time to make the payment. Product change is made up to 30 minutes before the flight departure, otherwise the luggage will not be able to travel in Wingo.

• Si al llegar a la puerta de abordaje tienes más de un artículo o llevas bolsas adicionales, se aplicaran los cobros correspondientes por equipaje adicional.

Characteristics of the personal item allowed:

• It must be small and not exceed these measurements: 40 cm high, 35 cm long and 25 cm wide. We advise you to measure it before arriving at the airport.
• It can be a backpack or a purse or a bag, but not more than one per passenger, if you exceed the allowed amount, the additional items will be charged as cabin baggage before boarding the flight.
• It should not include wheels or handles.
• Large bags are not considered a personal item, since they exceed the permitted measurements.
